Short DS review
So I recently picked up a copy of Resident Evil Deadly Silence for DS. It came out last year, 2006 in February.
It’s pretty much a remake of resident evil 1. The bottom screen is the game play screen and the top screen displays a map and your life. You use the touch screen to use your knife or to solve puzzles. There is multi player and another single player mode as well as some minigames.
Graphically it looks like the original, cept it’s missing the video from the director’s cut. Yet it still looks kinda fuzzy even on a DS. 7/10
Gameplay, it’s Resident Evil, screen feels kinda small and controls take a little to get used to. But hey its a decent portable resident evil game. And it;s easy to play for a like 20 minutes pick it up and play again. Good use of touch screen and the microphone. New ways to play a classic. 8/10
Sounds, yep all the zombie shuffling and moaning you can bear. The dialogue is just as cheesy as ever. 10/10
Value, lets see you get mini-games, another single player game and multi player. It gets a 10/10
90%, it’s worth picking up.
