ShanghaiKid here folks with some news. Don’t want to spend $50 on the latest FPs game? Looking for some free, fun mutliplayer action? Why not try Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. It’s a free game based on Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It still has a great following despite being over 5 years old. It can run on older systems and requires a low high speed connection. Think of it as like Team Fortress with classes. There is a Medic, an Engineer, a Soldier, a Covert Opps, and Field Opps.
The engineer and medic are essential to team play on both the allies and axis. Each side has semi different weapons to outfit your class with. The covert opps sneaks around in disguises and acts as a sniper. The field opps calls artillery and airstrikes. There is a nice RPG element to it, as each class can get 4 stars in their specaility field and in the 2 common fields. You get experience with your kills and in the case of an engineer building things, or a medic healing your teammates. It is still a great game, and its easy to find servers via gamespy.
