Sega CDX
It’s time to take a look at something a little different, something Unique. The Sega CDX. The what? Is that like a CD-R? No my befundled readers it is something from the 90s, a monster creation from the master of video gaming SEGA. A Monster from beyond the grave. Well at least in the mid-90s they were the masters of something….probably putting out too many add-ons to the Genesis and too many consoles.
The Sega CDX also known as The Sega Multi-Mega was a sleek impreessive beast. It was a combination console that played both Sega Genesis games and Sega CD games. It could play CDs and CD+G (Karaoke). It was portable and could run off batteries. Unfortunately like the rest of Sega’s handhelds it too sucked the life right out of batteries. It aslo kind of worked with the 32-X add on, well that caused the system to be top heavy and often times fall off shelves and tvs. GOOD ONE SEGA, way to think things through.
