Early PS3 Mod
Thanks to the magic of google translator and some pictures, it seems that someone has successfully replaced the 20GB harddrive of a PS3 with a 120GB one. [link here]
What’s amazing about this mod is that the system hasn’t even been released yet. I know modders do things because they can, but I think it also says something about Sony’s latest console if people are already starting to tinker with it. Maybe someone at Sony will see this and think, “Hey, maybe we should have put in a bigger HD in the basic system?” Either way, props have to go to the person who did this. Despite how easy it is to install a HD, I certainly wouldn’t have the nerve to tinker with a $600 system before I even have a chance to play any games on it. I’m pretty sure this voids the warranty too.
